Cold, clear and sunny day at mile 314!
Report Details
Cold, clear and sunny day at mile 314! We observed a small amount of people and dogs enjoying the coast. Most notable observations were the variety of birdlife, jellyfish washing a shore, and large amounts of bigger plastic pieces in the wrack line that we were able to clean up. Some other fun observations where Elk tracks on the beach and seagrass and kelp on the wrack line.

Temperature: 39 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 9.5 feet.

50-60 Seagulls (on the shore) 4- Bufflehead ducks (in the creek) 2- Cormorants (in the surf) Elk and raccoon tracks along the creek

1 small crab casing 50ish Dead jelly fish on the shoreline
Wrackline Content
Ropes and fishing lures small plastic pieces and styrofoam
Man-made Modifications
New riprap or shoreline protection structures. Some driftwood used to create a structure (probably for play) I did not report it to any rangers due to it not seeming to disrupt any nature or wildlife.
