Effects of storms and high tides over last couple of weeks striking -- northern half mile shows major erosion of fore dune.  Lots of large logs high up on beach; relatively few smaller pieces.  Fair amount of sand added to beach; looks more like mid-summer width than usual winter.

It was a gorgeous sunny but quite cold afternoon, with a brisk wind from the northeast blowing sand toward the surf across a wide low-tide beach.
