one flock of gulls 50?? mostly western, a few heermans

I was worried at the start about what I might find, but there was no evidence of die off at this point

Man-made Modifications
Stream modification. someone used backhoe to dig channel for creek/Cresdnet Lake outlet ... blocked by sand from ocean -- usually happens toward end of dry season
