Huge Velella velella wash up.
Report Details
Huge Velella velella wash up. Over the last three days the numbers have grown exponentially. There are groups of righties and lefties and sometimes they are mixed within a group. There were also drift logs with large amounts of pelagic gooseneck barnacles (Lepas anatifera).

Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light.

Other Activities: Swimming in swimsuits brrr.
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
Unusual concentration. Major Velella vellela wash up. For the last three days the concentration has been multiplying exponentially.

I love to see tourist families come down and enjoy the beach, but some use the beach as a party house and just leave a mess behind.
