Mile 291 Report
Camp Magruder north, Watseco, Twin Rocks SW
July 17, 2024
Another gorgeous day at Watseco.
Report Details
Another gorgeous day at Watseco. Wind from the south and a bit on the chilly side. Summer vacationers are here. 44 people and 4 dogs walking/playing/sitting on the beach. Beach was very clean, outside of the usual detrius, shells, rocks, bits of wood, seaweed, animal, casings, etc. Only two plastic bags and a purple hair scrunchie found. I’ve been seeing about a half dozen curlews on the beach recently. It seems like they are growing in number over previous years.
Conditions
Temperature: 60 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Tide Level: 3.31 feet.
