Report Details

Gorgeous day. Thousands of tiny to small Velella velella washed up on the shore. Near the jetty, they were mostly blue, further north mostly clear. Found a mermaids purse at the edge of the surf and threw it back into the ocean. Observed seagulls chasing a hawk. Primarily shells, rocks and small wood bits in the drift line, very little human debris or garbage, compared to previous months.
