Walkers on the beach. Low tide. Bald Eagle feeding at shoreline. Beach scoured by high winds and tides. Very little plastic seen/retrieved today.

Concerns

Apparent violations: None except dogs off leash but not harassing birds or wildlife.

Notable Wildlife

Bald eagle noted feeding at water's edge with a small flock of distressed gulls (10) close by. Not sure what they were feeding on as I didn't want to get too close

Driftline Content

Small rocks, Wood pieces. Beach scoured by recent high winds and tides. Velella drift has abated with only a small amount now visible.

King tides 2 weeks ago Big storm with high winds S. Noted today that the sea rocket clumps are now dead but their roots are holding the sand in front of the dune line creating small mounds Fierce tidal movement around large pieces of driftwood have created channels (see photo)

Beautiful walk today on an all but deserted Oregon beach. Eels grass still present but again smaller amounts than over the summer months. Recently deceased seal washed up close to high tide line
