A quiet human day due to a chilly wind and thick fog in the morning ( clearing at the time of my walk.) Thick fog bank out over ocean. Very few birds seen today. 3 gulls feeding, a raven overhead. A higher than usual density of large and smaller driftwood pieces pushed up towards dune line. No eel grass seen today. Very little garbage collected. Small ziplock bag used as collection tool! Decomposing seal seen at north end of mile. Octopus tree has shifted north and the trunk now points NNE and lies to the north of the MP marker 29 see photos

Temperature: 51 F. Cloud Cover: Foggy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 2.5 feet.

Other Activities: Chilly day on the spit with heavy fog in the morning. No humans seen today!.

One Raven swooping overhead 3 gulls at shoreline feeding

Wrackline Content

High density of wood/ drift wood pieces pushed well up the beach towards dune line following king tide activity. See photos Couple pallets seen towards south end of the mile 1 lions mane jelly fish Very little garbage. Couple ziplock bags and random pieces of plastic Buoy and rope well wrapped and tangled around a tree trunk (see photo)

Natural Changes

Sand deposition. No evidence of wave overtopping the dunes on my mile ( evidence seen close to Cape Meares community.) Sand pushed up against dunes at dune grass line

A windy and cloudy day with storms threatening Very little human activity and birds were few , likely sheltering The small "dune" formation around the roots of the Sea Rocket persisted in spite of high tides and storms
