The park has placed a new coating of round river rocks carefully done with a new path to the beach from the camp ground in gravel with a more cautious grade.

The park has placed a new coating of round river rocks carefully done with a new path to the beach from the camp ground in gravel with a more cautious grade. As I recall these round rocks cover up the white plastic bags filled with sand that had maintained the grade but were remarkably ugly.his photo was taken the day before as you can see it's sunny.

Temperature: 57 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 5.0 feet.

Number of people: 38. Number of dogs: 12. Walking or running: 2. Playing in surf: 10. Sitting: 25. There is no driving on the beach at Cape Lookout State Park.

Apparent violations: Plastic bottle etc.Disturbances: Shorebirds moving in response to humans/dogs
Notable Wildlife
Lots of jellyfish washed up in the wrack line; walking barefoot I had a hard time not stepping on them
