A beautiful day at Cape Lookout SP.
Report Details
A beautiful day at Cape Lookout SP. Saw evidence of a couple of small landslides south of the day use area. Sand high. Remains of wave overtopping in group camp area and day use area. Not much in the way of birds. Beach pretty clean. We counted 18 people and 3 dogs - all well-behaved!New cabins are progressing.Access from beach to campground invisible from the beach - no path until you get to the top of the rocks.

After days of rain the sun finally made an appearance, making for a pleasant afternoon on the beach.

It was a beautiful, sunny day although somewhat brisk. Some photos of recent erosion are attached.

The recent storms and high tides have deposited a lot of debris on the beach - especially small plastic fragments.
