The park is looking a bit ragged.
Report Details
The park is looking a bit ragged. Bluffs continue to be eaten away exposing more pipes/sandbags. The land-side face of the dune in front of the campground is crumbling. We were told by a camp host that a couple of new cabins are being built and it sounds like yurts and cabins continue to be well-used.

Temperature: 48 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SE. Tide Level: 5.0 feet.

Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Wood pieces.
Natural Changes
Erosion of vegetated foredune, Newly exposed roots/trees falling, Evidence of wave overtopping, Visible retreat of solid bluff.
Actions & Comments
Waves have carried rocks into the day use area, the group camping area, and campgrounds A and B. Sand has returned to the beach area. The bluff continues to be eroded.

A chilly, blustery day with only three persons on the beach/surf.

After days of rain the sun finally made an appearance, making for a pleasant afternoon on the beach.

It was a beautiful, sunny day although somewhat brisk. Some photos of recent erosion are attached.

The recent storms and high tides have deposited a lot of debris on the beach - especially small plastic fragments.

It was a windy and cloudy day and hence the beach was fairly deserted.
