Mile 274 Report
Cape Lookout SP
April 29, 2011
A sunny afternoon when we started our walk.
Report Details
A sunny afternoon when we started our walk. So nice to see kids playing in the sand and even going into the water! There were around 30 people on the beach, a fair-sized group of hang & para gliders at Anderson Point and several gliders in the air. The beach was very clean - the only thing we noticed as somewhat unusual were the number of gulls. These were mostly flying in and out and around the treeline - a couple raiding picnic tables. We usually only see a few birds and those are usually on the beach. May just be our timing. In any case, it was nice. We stayed about an hour and as we left the clouds came in.
