A pleasant, sunny but cool day on the beach. Observed brown pelicans for the first time this year.

Total stranded mammals: 1. One dead harbor seal pup on beach near the old group campground. Reported to the park ranger.

The recent storms and high tides have deposited a lot of debris on the beach - especially small plastic fragments.

It was a windy and cloudy day and hence the beach was fairly deserted.
