Sea lion spotted around 1pm - lethargic.
Report Details
Sea lion spotted around 1pm - lethargic. Reported to Oregon Marine Mammal Stranding volunteer line. Volunteers arrived around 4pm and determined the male California sea lion was healthy (no Lepto) and just tired. Sea lion returned to the ocean around 4:45pm

Temperature: 62 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Tide Level: 6.5 feet.

Severe dune erosion causing many large shrubs and trees to fall onto the beach. Previous report in February showed dune cliff stable but receding.

Apparent crab exuvia - lots of Dungeness crab shells along the high-tide line and in the shallow mini-lagoons formed at low tide.

Juvenile bald eagle flew northbound just before the sighting of the gull.
