Concerns
Notable Wildlife
We walked from our home to Road's End parking lot (mile 245). At this time it was cloudy and very windy. There was large number of gulls standing still on sand near waters edge - at least 25 or 30 birds. As we walked north towards our mile 246, no wildlife until we reached the end of the mile where there was 3 sea stars 1 orange, 2 purple as well as 1 seal popping his head up just off water edge. By the time we got to the end, weather switched to partial could/ some sun, wind died down. It was very low tide and we were able to go around the edge to "the secret beach" There were several large clusters of mussels, with 5 to 9 sea stars on mussels and on the basalt rock. We have been able to go around the edge only in late June thru early Aug at low tide.
