A calm, cloudy but pleasant day. Only one family enjoying the beach. 3 bags of trash collected, including two large items: a door and a fiberglass tube. No tsunami-related items found this time.

Number of people: 3. Playing in sand: 3. 50+ people on the other side of the Siletz outlet but we did not walk that side.

50+ harbor seals in their usual resting place at the tip of the Salishan Spit. A few pups sighted in the crowd. Two pelicans in the waves.

Not a bad fall day for a walk with our out-of-town visitors, but walking the beach was impossible due to the high tide and big waves, which were reaching the beach grass area and bouncing large pieces of driftwood around.
