Beware of the tides, all closed beach accesses, and daily changes to the beach itself at this time of year. Exposed riprap makes for extensive rock climbing to the beach in some areas.
Conditions
Temperature: 55 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light.
Natural Changes
Erosion of vegetated foredune. During this king tide weekend, there was absolutely no beach to walk on along Mile 238. The waves came all the way in to the rock line and splashed up the rocks. Much wave activity has eliminated so much sand along the rockline that old riprap is now exposed on the beach. All beach accesses are either roped off (danger) or basically unusable. Only access #50 (at north end of spit, Mile 239) is usable. South of that, access would be in Gleneden Beach.

Beach was completely deserted today. The only usable accesses are at 50B and in between properties 281 and 283.

Beach accesses are currently closed along Salishan Drive, except at the end of the road at access #50, and an unmarked access at lot #349.
