Beautiful day on the beach; I walked close to the shore on an outgoing tide.

Beautiful day on the beach; I walked close to the shore on an outgoing tide. I noticed a few dead birds, and lots of uprooted seaweed strewn along the northern half of my mile. On my way back to my mile's starting point a whale breached a few hundred feet off the shore! Wow!

Temperature: 63 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 0.1 feet.

Number of people: 9. Sitting: 6.
Notable Wildlife
A few shore birds and a large flock pelicans flew by...on my way back to my mile's starting point a whale breached a few hundred feet off the shore! Wow!

Total dead birds: 4. Unknown species, didn't see any leg bands

Lots and lots of clumps of uprooted seaweed. See pic.
Man-made Modifications
New riprap or shoreline protection structures. One repair being worked on from above the shoreline and another being repaired from the shoreline.

Beautiful morning for a mile walk! If all of the revetment projects in process proceed with OPRD's approval there could be a total of 18 properties with construction/riprap taking place by June.
