Seven people (ok 10 counting my group), walking the beach, some with dogs, at low tide.
Report Details
Seven people (ok 10 counting my group), walking the beach, some with dogs, at low tide. Seasonal creeks running. Very little debris of any kind on beach.Wildlife: a few gulls and 4 oystercatchers (first sighting in my 1 1/2 yr watch). and 1 osprey. No geese as there were 1 year ago.No man made changes. Storm erosion has cut a sand bank back a few feet since Dec.

Temperature: 56 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: 1.5 feet.

Number of people: 7. Number of dogs: 3. Walking or running: 7. People walking , several with shoes off, enjoying the weather after a rainstorm a few days ago.

Gulls and 4 oystercatchers wading,in the brackish water at the mouth of yers Creek. No geese atop the rocks as seen a year ago.
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
No. 3 or four fragments of jellies.

Pistol River SP north, south of Myers Creek
Found the partial remains of a large (6'x6') cylindrical buoy on top of driftwood about 1/3 mile north of Henrys Rock (monolithic HR marks the south end of mile 23. Your reporter called Harris Beach SP who is responsible for cleanup of Pistol River SP which mile 23 is within. The rest of the beach is smooth and litter free.

There was a lot of small plastic debris and natural tree debris along the tide line between Meyers Creek and a short distance south of the stacks.

Steep newly cut foredunes and rocks more exposed because of winter waves scouring the beach.

The cave in one of the monoliths was accessible.
