Gentle erosion so far this winter. No damage by people. A couple of driftwood 'forts' at the south end of the beach north of Henry's Rock
Conditions
Temperature: 59 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 3.0 feet.

Wrackline Content
Not much material. 1 razor clam shell. No rack line at all at South end, followed by water-worn small rocks of diverse colors especially gray with a few white rocks (quartz) and red rocks (jasper) and a few green rocks (serpentine). N end wrack is small woody debris. Large amounts of driftwood at the South End and middle area near the monoliths. Less towards the North End. Mild winter conditions indicated by incomplete removal of summer deposits of sand ramps from the vertical dune fronts. Only 1 small area has a few clumps of grass on the beach.

Erosion of vegetated foredune.

Found the partial remains of a large (6'x6') cylindrical buoy on top of driftwood about 1/3 mile north of Henrys Rock (monolithic HR marks the south end of mile 23. Your reporter called Harris Beach SP who is responsible for cleanup of Pistol River SP which mile 23 is within. The rest of the beach is smooth and litter free.

There was a lot of small plastic debris and natural tree debris along the tide line between Meyers Creek and a short distance south of the stacks.

Steep newly cut foredunes and rocks more exposed because of winter waves scouring the beach.
