Nothing out of the ordinary was observed. There were two vehicles parked along the road (Otter Crest Loop) at the north end of mile 226 and I observed three people fishing from the rocks at the only access point to the ocean on mile 226. There was an average of one tourist vehicle at a time parked at the Lookout for observation of the ocean and visiting of the gift shop.

No human activity was noted on or near the shoreline, the only activity noted being people driving along Otter Crest Loop, with a few parking for short periods of time at the Lookout at Otter Crest Wayside for the views.

There was nobody observed along the shoreline of mile 226, however there were a number of people driving and stopping along Otter Crest Loop, the roadway that provides excellent overviews of the mile.
