Mile 226 Report
Otter Crest, State Wayside
March 21, 2013
No more than five vehicles were parked at any one time at the Lookout at Otter Crest.
Report Details
No more than five vehicles were parked at any one time at the Lookout at Otter Crest. Most people were in the gift shop. One other walker besides ourselves was observed on the one-way section of Old Hwy. 101 between the Lookout and Miroco. What was most notable about wildlife was its relative absence. No physical changes were observed. A strand line is generally lacking due to a cliffed shoreline or, much less often, a high-tide line on the cliff face even though a narrow beach may be exposed at low tide.
Conditions
Temperature: 45 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 1.4 feet.
