Number of people: 2. Sitting: 1. Fishing: 1. Parked adjacent to Otter Crest Loop near south end of mile 227. Persons from one vehicle accessed rocky shore area at boundary of miles 226/227 in "activitycounts" above.

Apparent violations: None observed.

Notable Wildlife

Very little wildlife other than one seagull observed.But, note that only about one hour was spent in observing entire mile (through binoculars, from several points along Otter Crest Loop, including the observatory/gift shop). Please note that mile is directly almost completely inaccessible except with some difficulty at extreme north end.

None observed

Driftline Content

Ocean-based debris (from fishing boats, ship trash, etc.), Wood pieces. Floats from fishing observed in one cove beach.

No human activity was noted on or near the shoreline, the only activity noted being people driving along Otter Crest Loop, with a few parking for short periods of time at the Lookout at Otter Crest Wayside for the views.

On a nice, fairly calm and partly cloudy day on the central Oregon coast, there were only a few people driving along Otter Crest Loop and even fewer stopping to enjoy the view from the the Lookout at Otter Crest State Scenic Wayside.
