It was a cool, cloudy and breezy day with high tide and fairly high surf.

It was a cool, cloudy and breezy day with high tide and fairly high surf. Activity, both human and by wildlife, was at a minimum.Nobody was parked at any site other than the gift shop, and nobody was attempting to access the shoreline.
Conditions
Temperature: 50 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: SW. Tide Level: 8.0 feet.
Human Activities
The only activities were those of several people visiting the gift shop at Cape Foulweather and the occasional person observing the ocean from the lookout. The above number of cars was that at the gift shop/lookout parking lot. Nobody was parked elsewhere and nobody was accessing the shoreline, which, of course, is very difficult in mile 226.
