No marine life was observed, which is unusual for this mile. No changes, natural or manmade, were observed along this mile since the last report. Natural changes tend to minimal due to the very resistant nature of the basalt sea cliffs along this mile, and inaccessibility of the shoreline makes it nearly impossible for access and disturbance by humans. The day was sunny and warm (for mid-April), which brought out a relatively large number of sightseers, who were enjoying the scenery from Otter Crest Loop and Otter Crest State Scenic Wayside.

Other Activities: Nobody was near the water, bur there were a number of people enjoying the view from Otter Crest Loop Road and from Otter Crest Wayside.. No vehicle access to the shoreline. is possible..

Small rocks. Very little wrack line on this nearly entirely rocky shoreline, and that which was visible was mostly cobble-sized basalt.

There was a complete lack of human activity at or near the largely inaccessible shoreline of this mile.

On a cool, partly cloudy, and somewhat windy afternoon, no people were directly observed along the shoreline, though I did see a couple vehicles parked on Otter Crest Loop above where people may have access to areas at the top of the bluff.

Mile 226 continues to see very little human activity due to the difficulty of access because of tall basalt cliffs rising directly out of the ocean with few small pocket beaches.
