Overcast day on Mile 222.
Report Details
Overcast day on Mile 222....more people than usual observed due to New Years Day. Access road had been cleared of major driftwood collected since high tides. I did see young man climbing and sliding down fragile cliff. I made him aware of the fragility of the bluff and he finished climbing up and left . Also observed were 2-3 15', 4/4 partially painted green boards along with green painted plywood 2, approx 4x6 feet.

Temperature: 52 F. Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 0.4 feet.

Number of people: 25. Number of dogs: 5. Walking or running: 23. Other Activities: 1 young man sliding down / climbing up unstable cliff with ukulele on back.

Relatively high amount of people, mainly dogwalkers, out early for a pleasant Sunday morning trip to the beach.

The beach fire close to vegetation, and somewhat close to access point was the main unusual concern to report, otherwise just the usual concern of trash.

Notable highlights: relatively small landslide at the mile's middle parking lot; large piece of shipping debris; large tree debris (unusual to see large natural or unnatural debris at this mile; the usual trash (though as usual, less than seen at miles 223 and 224 to the north); a bald eagle and barn swallows!
