Mile 222 Report
Moolack Beach N, Coal Creek, S of Wade Creek
February 4, 2009
It was my second time visiting mile 222.
Report Details
It was my second time visiting mile 222. It was a gorgeous day and 63 degrees. People I encountered were enjoying the day walking their dogs. There was an exposed old tree root from a Spruce tree on beach. It actually was pretty beautiful. It probably was there years ago.I noticed a yellow bouy marked 103. Did not notice any other fish, etc. washed up on beach except that. I discovered a way down to beach as lots of construction on road around Beverly Beach exit. It is old wagon road down to beach.

The beach fire close to vegetation, and somewhat close to access point was the main unusual concern to report, otherwise just the usual concern of trash.

Notable highlights: relatively small landslide at the mile's middle parking lot; large piece of shipping debris; large tree debris (unusual to see large natural or unnatural debris at this mile; the usual trash (though as usual, less than seen at miles 223 and 224 to the north); a bald eagle and barn swallows!
