Beautiful warm, calm day.  Both Wade and Coal creeks quite dry/very little runoff.  25 people 5 dogs all having a great day most walking and getting feet wet!  Some concern about tent/camp on beach north of Coal Creek.  also dead fire with gas can in debris.  1 very dead bird observed.  Seaweed and casings on beachVery little trash on beach

Temperature: 68 F. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: SW. Tide Level: 6.1 feet.

Activities

Number of people: 25. Number of dogs: 5. Walking or running: 17. Playing in surf: 4. Playing in sand: 3.

Other Activities: 1 boat on trailer in parking lot. 1 white Ford? Econoline-type vehicle with no apparent license plates visible. 1 tent on upper beach and 3-4 very large backpacks. 2 adults and 1 8-12 year old boy & 1 small dog visible. No open flame fire but I observed smoke as I approached from a distance and smelled smoke..

Concerns

Fire

Apparent violations: 1 fire (completely out/old). 1 burned Coleman gas can (1 gallon?) & 4 burned beer/soft drink cans. I collected as trash and left at top of access road to beach.

Cars/trucks parking: 7. RVs/Buses parking: 1.

Beached Birds

Total dead birds: 1. feathers only showing. I turned over and carcass covered with seaweed and piece of plastic. Very decomposed. Murre-sized.

Wrackline Content

Seaweeds and seagrass, Animal casings or molts.

Natural Changes

Major cracks appearing in bluffs, Visible retreat of solid bluff.

Actions & Comments

I left message with ranger regarding trash I left at top of beach access road - burned gas can & beer cans, misc.trash.  I also mentioned van in parking area with no visible license plates and tent on beach just north of Coal Creek
