Report Details
1) Of historical note is the fallen arch at Schooner Pt November 2022 2) Absent this year thus far are any whale spouts visible from shore. Generally at this time I would expect to see a handful each day along this mile stretch. This is corroborated by Carrie Newell, a marine biologist in Depoe Bay who leads daily whale watching trips. She has not seen this few resident grey whales since 2005 and is meeting with OSU biologists to research further. 3) The Moolack Beach access trail from the parking area is heavily overgrown with bushes. There is also one section with loose sand over hard rock where I slipped and fell going up and another woman slipped in the same spot going down.
Conditions
Temperature: 58 F. Cloud Cover: Foggy. Wind Velocity: Strong. Tide Level: 2.5 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 16. Number of dogs: 2. Walking or running: 12.
Notable Wildlife
six whimbrels on the sand and water two murres flying over the water one eagle flying north and then later south over the treeline ten seagulls in total over the treeline; none on the shoreline
Natural Changes
Landslides/major boulder falls. The iconic arch at Schooner Pt which frames Yaquina Lighthouse collapsed November 2022 during kind tides and high winds. There is daily visible erosion of these cliffs with new, smaller rocks and debris on the sand

I walk this beach most days and it's been unremarkable besides the typical gulls, cyclical ocean deposits, and sporadic walkers.

There was nothing startling or unusual about this beachwalk except that we noted significant destruction of a staircase and its foundation below the large vacation rentals just south of Moolack Beach.
