The beach showed signs of increased use this summer.

The beach showed signs of increased use this summer. There was more litter (still not much), tire tracks on the beach, spray paint on a log and a large wind shelter built with driftwood and nylon rope similar to that found other places on the beach. There were more dead birds than we have seen before.

Temperature: 58 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 4.0 feet.
Human Activities
Number of people: 16. Number of dogs: 4. Large tire tracks in the sand. Possibly machinery used to form a ramp at the Schooner Creek entrance to improve access to the beach.

A sad day for Mile 220, although the weather was amazing it was super hard and sad to see the tar globs in the mid-section of my mile.
