A sad day for Mile 220, although the weather was amazing it was super hard and sad to see the tar globs in the mid-section of my mile. No dead or oiled birds were seen. The low tide was spectacular with large sections of reef exposed and sand beyond those heading west. Lots of folks out taking advantage of the weather and the long weekend. Lots of feeding behavior from the pelicans and gulls, almost at the shoreline. Perhaps the fish in the tidepool that I found was what the birds were finding so tasty?
