Report Details

The beach was mostly empty due to people being cautious of the king tides. Down near the jetty there was open sandy beach. Big waves were crashing up and over the jetty. Caught a beautiful rainbow over the lighthouse! Oh! I forgot to mention until I saw the photo, the wrack line was full of these jellyfish. Not just a few, a whole line of them all down the beach.

Conditions

Temperature: 52 F. Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 8 feet.

Human Activities

Number of people: 3. Number of dogs: 1. Walking or running: 3. This was during the November king tides. People were staying off the beach listening to the sneaker wave warnings.

Notable Wildlife

Only saw birds, mostly seagulls, and a large group of small birds all bunched together by a sand dune near the jetty. I didn't want to get too close and disturb them.

Beached Birds

The King Tides had swept the beach clear.
