It was a very quiet, beautiful on the Newport coastline. The beach was noticeably clean and free of manmade trash/impact.

Temperature: 63 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 3.25 feet.

Number of people: 30. Number of dogs: 25. Walking or running: 25. Sitting: 4. Surfing: 1.

Concerns

Apparent violations: none.

Notable Wildlife

Several pacific sea nettles (?) washed up. Largest orange jellyfish was 3' x 3.5'. Smallest 8". Nothing remarkable in wrack line. Very little trash/plastic. Beach was very clean.

Dead Fish or Invertebrates

To me there were more washed up jellyfish than normal.

Driftline Content

Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells. Very little debris of any sort.
