23 of what were probably whimbrels, another flock of about 200 small sandpipers plus a few larger sandpipers of a different species

Yellow monkey-flowers and clover blooming amongst the vibrant green mosses--green like new conifer growth--on the bluff seeps.

We have noticed that during the winter storms the sand on the beach moves (presumably offshore) and then is redeposited during spring.
