The ocean was choppy and foamy, although the wind was fairly calm.

The ocean was choppy and foamy, although the wind was fairly calm. The wrack line consisted of very little debris (some stones and broken shells, only). There is quite a bit of sand on the beach, mounded up above the high tide line. I saw fewer birds than I usually have seen this summer. Just an off-day perhaps.

Temperature: 50 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Tide Level: 3.0 feet.

Driftline Content
This morning there were small clumps of foam along the wrack line and the water was much choppier than I have seen throughout most of the summer.

I reported that the weather was partly cloudy: large Cumulus clouds but additionally there was some light rain. The only live wildlife we saw were birds: Whimbrels, Crows, Western Gulls, and one Brown Pelican.

It was a very stormy day but since it was so late in the year we wanted to do a survey while the tide was low, regardless of the weather. There was one place where there was recent erosion of the cliff.
