It was a calm morning with some bird life (alive.) Most shocking was the number of dead birds near the wrack line. Some looked recently washed up. Others were hardly recognizable as they had partially decomposed and/or had been scavenged.

I reported that the weather was partly cloudy: large Cumulus clouds but additionally there was some light rain. The only live wildlife we saw were birds: Whimbrels, Crows, Western Gulls, and one Brown Pelican.

It was a very stormy day but since it was so late in the year we wanted to do a survey while the tide was low, regardless of the weather. There was one place where there was recent erosion of the cliff.
