Notable Wildlife
There were several small groups (1-2 each) of Whimbrels feeding along the tide line, spread out along the entire mile. Probably about 2 dozen total. We saw 2-3 Western Gulls flying over the water. We also saw several Crows, walking/ feeding on the beach. About 50 feet north of the Mile 210 north border was a sea lion carcass and 2 Turkey Vultures were feeding on it . We did not approach to take a photo because we did not want to disturb the birds. At the tail end of our walk, at the south border of Mile 210, a lone Brown Pelican flew overhead. There were remnants of Vellum jellies (Velella velella) scattered above the tide line - no longer blue but faded to clear/ white.

It was a very stormy day but since it was so late in the year we wanted to do a survey while the tide was low, regardless of the weather. There was one place where there was recent erosion of the cliff.
