During an impromptu walk on Patterson beach, I saw three intriguing, puzzling pieces of driftwood. I wanted to document them in case they're of historical or other interest.
Conditions
Temperature: 59 F. Cloud Cover: Partly Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light.
A plank with lettering that reads "RIP SOS 1960." I guess this could be a prank, but the faded letters struck me as genuinely old. So -- a mystery?

We were on a field trip for 6th grade.

We went as a field trip with all our 6th graders from Crestview Heights in Waldport, Oregon. We did notice an abundance of what appeared to be new driftwood.
