This morning was calm, clear, and clean, with very little beach activity of any kind.

This morning was calm, clear, and clean, with very little beach activity of any kind. The beach was clean. I saw 3 dungeness crab shells, 40 Western Gulls, a single piece of bull kelp, and a very light accumulation of shells, small rocks, rounded bits of wood, a single Ochre sea star (deceased), many pacific mole crab carcasses, a light but continuous collection of sea lettuce, and some broken sand dollars, all marking the high tide line.

Temperature: 60 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: E. Tide Level: 3.5 feet.

Number of people: 9. Number of dogs: 1. Walking or running: 4. Sitting: 1. Photography: 1. The highest concentrations of people this morning were directly adjacent to Beachside Campground (5 individuals)and adjacent to a private residence North of Wakonda Beach road (4 individuals, 2 dogs).

It was a gorgeous sunny day after all the rain. The barnacle log that I have been observing for months is still on the beach.

These have not been the highest waves of the storm season so far but they are still moving rock and scouring sand from the base of un-rip rapped foredune.
