Cloudy, rainy, temp 39'afternoon, along MP 189 beach.

Cloudy, rainy, temp 39'afternoon, along MP 189 beach. Wind light from NW. Notable were 14 Killdeer, 8 Western sandpipers, 1 ring-billed gull feeding along tideline. Moderate amounts broken sand collars, razor clam shells, other clam shells, wood pieces, and pebbles along tide line. Large amounts tan, fine 2/3"long fiber-like, loosely matted seaweed(?) along tideline. Did not appear to be man-made. Few pieces of plastic debris removed from a really clean winter beach. Met Maggie, our new camp host, from Wisconsin. She is a wildlife rehabber here to learn seabirds. Chintimini Rehab center will be her resource. Nice interaction.
