A cold wind chill factor this morning. The beach was clean. Four eagles gathered and devoured a small dead fish. The eagles remained as we left the beach.
Conditions
Temperature: 34 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: 3.1 feet.
Human Activities
No people present.
Notable Wildlife
A large concentration of gulls (maybe 220) at the mouth of Beaver Creek) stirred and became aerial--shortly before we observed one Bald Eagle flying north. The eagle set down and apparently ate the lone dead fish we observed on the mile. Three other eagle joined and sat on the beach. All 4 had mature plumage. Two sat very closely together as a possible pair.
Dead Fish or Invertebrates
One dead fish--do not know the species. The fish was about 8-9 inches long and eaten by the eagles mentioned above.
