We started surveying this beach for marine debris in December 2016 for COASST.
Report Details
We started surveying this beach for marine debris in December 2016 for COASST. This is our first report for Coast Watch. Many more people walking the beach this month, and more dogs. Much less debris washing in. Only found one piece of large debris, rope. Also within our survey rectangles we found virtually no small debris (less than 2.5cm), and only 14 pieces of medium (2.5-50 cm). Not much of a wrack line, and the wood line seems to be consolidating along the bluff. Sand is building back in and high tides are no longer reaching vegetation/bluff in most areas. Did see a partial set of tire tracks.
