Report Details

Lots of sand still on the beach north and south. Front of bluff on path to the north beach has fallen into path. Counted 55 seals. The graffiti being carved into our sandstone cliffs is a real problem for me. I have shared my concerns with people who are actively carving away. But haven't convinced anyone that nature is the better artist.

Actions & Comments

The graffiti being carved into our sandstone cliffs is a real problem for me. I have shared my concerns with people who are actively carving away. But haven't convinced anyone that nature is the better artist. I have even asked the volunteer "patrol" if they can write up a ticket for people found carving up the bluffs. But they seemed to think that this activity didn't warrant a ticket. Isn't it illegal to deface public property? I can only hope that someone was carving away when the front sluffed off this bluff.

The high surf (even at low tide) made for dramatic conditions during this visit.

There were two mudslides on the north beach, 20-40 yards north of the parking area, that appeared to be recent.
