The sand is "in" on the north side of Strawberry allowing easy beach walking.
Report Details
The sand is "in" on the north side of Strawberry allowing easy beach walking. And Strawberry was "pink" at the minus tide: lots of pink algae, pink crystalline algae, and a beautiful dark red sea weed. Found 5 baby nudibranchs hiding on the rocks, a few baby sea lemons, and a couple of Dorris sea slugs.

Temperature: 45 F. Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Calm/Light. Wind Direction: N. Tide Level: -2.1 feet.

Marine debris (plastic, styrofoam, etc. washing in from the sea), Small rocks, Wood pieces. pretty clean

It was a beautiful day at Mile 188, with the resident harbor seals dozing on the rocks just offshore and many gulls flying around.

There were two mudslides on the north beach, 20-40 yards north of the parking area, that appeared to be recent.
