Beautiful day on the beach with lot of people, many of whom had walked from Washburn Park; so not many cars at Muriel Ponsler Wayside, where we accessed the beach.

Number of people: 20. Number of dogs: 7. Walking or running: 19. people enjoying our public beaches. One woman had a bag for picking up garbage she might come across.

Notable Wildlife
Very few birds, variety of sea algae, but not in large amounts. No mammals but people and dogs.
Beached Birds
Total dead birds: 4. We banded three birds for COASST and found a bird we had previously banded. Sooty Shearwater, immature Murre and mature Murre.

The entry way to Muriel Ponsler has been enhanced by a load of gravel that was placed in the entry way ditch. There were a lot of sand filling in the beach which is usual in the summer.

A lot of people on the beach today backpacking, rock hounding, playing and picnicking on the beach. There was one large piece of fiberglass on the beach.

The entry way to Carl Washburn heading towards China Creek was very slippery with mud and by the wind sailor jellyfish.

21 people on the beach today. Continued erosion off the bottom of the cliffs.

As I entered the beach and walked toward China creek I saw a dead common murre in the wrack line.

A low tide 1 ft with some medium size rocks in ditches.

Very Little in the wrack line today on the minus tide, small feathers, micro plastic and pieces of wood.
