Report Details
Another wave of river-sourced flood debris (trees, branches, brush, grass, etc) recently washed ashore north of the North Siuslaw River Jetty. Very little bird activity other than the usual crows and gulls. About a dozen Surf Scoters were feeding on the river just inside the bar.A juvenile deceased beaver had just washed ashore about mid-point on Mile 171. About 24" from nose to tail. Most likely got washed down the river. Two fairly new concrete dock floats (8'x4'x3') were deposited in the river estuary bay just east of the scuba diver platform on the North Jetty Road. The Port of Siuslaw office was contacted, and they were going to see if they recognized the floats. And no, they weren't humming, and aliens weren't trying to toss them into mysterious white pickup trucks, while the black helicopters circled overhead ...
