Mile 169 - North end Siuslaw South Jetty Road - June 12, 2017

Report Details

Walk started out 100% cloud cover. By the time we got out of the car the sun decided to show itself and the remainder of the walk was absolutely beautiful. Typical small bits of broken clam shells and an occasional crab casing. one clump of seaweed and one gull that kept its distance about 100 feet in front of us for most of the walk. Only other sign of life was two darker birds probably crow or raven gliding over the dunes. too far away to distinguish species.I did have company ...a friend and his two granddaughters.

Only the ever present driftwood Tee Pee.

Small rocks, Seaweeds and seagrass, Shells, Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt). Over all very clean...one chewing tobacco container.
