The weather was a mixture of sun, clouds and rain with moderate wind.

The weather was a mixture of sun, clouds and rain with moderate wind. There was only one motorbike at the beach access and one person on the beach. The beach area clean, sand removed by wave action creating vertical sand cliffs at the high tide line. Ocean heavy with foam blowing onto beach and up the foredune. Lot of Sanderlings foraging at shore line..

Cloud Cover: Cloudy. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: SE.
Human Activities
Number of people: 1. Walking or running: 1. No vehicles on beach today, just tire tracks. Tide high so could not assess amount of tracks below high tide line, but only a few ATV tracks above high tide line.
Driftline Content
Shells, Wood pieces. some beach grass in driftline.
Actions & Comments
Sand has been removed by wave acton creating vertical sand cliffs at high tide line. Ocean with much white foam on surface from breaking waves, globs of foam blowing onto beach and up the fordune.Sanderlings in small groups (10) and several large groups (150-200) foraging at shore line.

The fog increased as we walked but we saw two carcasses of sea lions and 4 dead birds.
