Hiked to beach from Tahkenitch Campground.
Report Details
Hiked to beach from Tahkenitch Campground. Significant beach lowering and foredune erosion at north end of mile. Very little trash and debris. Trees and brush washed out along Tahkenitch Creek and some carried out to sea and returned to beach. Beautiful winter day. Tide was high when I walked down the beach and I had to be careful not to be caught by waves that were running all the way to the foredune on the north part of the beach.

Number of people: 4. Number of dogs: 2. Walking or running: 2. Other Activities: 2 riding in pickup. Saw couple sitting in pickup watching ocean. They left and carried out my trash bag. Saw couple in pickup park at beginning of closure area and hike with two dogs up the beach.

Apparent violations: Some tire tracks in vehicle closure area.

Saw several larage groups of sanderlings.
