A beautiful, clear early morning walk!

A beautiful, clear early morning walk! Many shrimp molts and some live ghost shrimp, not molted. LOTS of sand fleas jumping about and about 6 swallows looking as tho they were successful catching them.

Temperature: 48 F. Cloud Cover: Sunny. Wind Velocity: Moderate. Wind Direction: NW. Tide Level: 0.0 feet.
Human Activities
No one on our mile. Only 1 on 152, so people must have been south of our entrance site.

On mile 152 2 flocks of 35 - 40 seagulls, one flock of over 100!On our mile a small flock (maybe 20)plovers.About 6 swallows flying low and circling.

On each of the wave lap lines, ghost shrimp molts. Several live large shrimp.
Driftline Content
Animal casings (e.g., crab, shrimp molt). Beach wiped really clean and smooth by previous high 9.2 tide that nite.

Sand swept up to the face of the foredune. Typical for this time of year.

Very foggy start to the walk, by the time we left the beach it was clear at 10:49am.

A beautiful sunny, windy day for a walk on the beach. Disturbing to see that an ATV had driven from past the north of our mile down to the bottom 1/4 of our mile in the Plover Nesting Protection zone.
